Quality Electric of the Coastal Carolinas, Inc. completes hundreds of projects each year, keeping more than 100 electricians busy.
In 2003, there were just 10 electricians – and two office staffers. Now there are nearly 200 employees.
The company’s growth has extended beyond just Charleston. There are now Quality Electric offices in Columbia, Bluffton/Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach.
“It has been a huge change, but I really like getting to be part of the bigger picture,” says Lindsey Jennings, who wears many hats for Quality Electric. “We’re still growing, so I’m excited to see where we’ll be in ten more years.”
Jennings has handled scheduling since the beginning… only now she juggles as many as 3,000 projects at a time, all in various stages of construction.
The projects vary from lighting retrofits to new construction electrical wiring. In just the past week, she’s scheduled electricians for a new home subdivision, a warehouse overhaul and work at the College of Charleston’s Dixie Plantation.
“It’s a challenge, but I wouldn’t want it any other way!”
